What Makes Kyoto So Special?

Kyoto is not just a city – it’s a place where history, nature, and culture live together.
Compared to Tokyo, Kyoto is quieter, more traditional, and full of charm.

Highlights:

  • Over 1,000 years of history as Japan’s old capital
  • Famous temples, shrines, and traditional streets
  • Amazing food culture, including matcha, tofu, and sweets
  • Four seasons that change the city’s colors and mood

Top 3 Places You Shouldn’t Miss

1. Fushimi Inari Shrine – 千本鳥居

Thousands of red torii gates create magical photo spots.
It’s open 24 hours and free to enter.

2. Arashiyama Bamboo Grove – 嵐山の竹林

Feel the peaceful nature, take a walk through the tall bamboo, and visit the nearby monkey park.

3. Nishiki Market – 錦市場

Local street food, snacks, souvenirs, and a taste of real Kyoto.
Try: Yatsuhashi (sweet), Tako Tamago (baby octopus snack), and more!
